'Entering the Bardic Secret'

School of Myth Summer school.

A very dynamic intensive for those really wishing to deepen their experience of myth, nature and fellowship. We will have a variety of guest teachers but the core will be led by Martin.

In it he will be laying out some highly experiential foundation stones for you to build on and develop the practice of being a story-carrier. Please note this will involve working at night, solo vigils in a wild place and the memorising of ancient verse. Preparation work will be required. Places strictly limited.

This will be a camping event in very beautiful surroundings. We especially encourage those that have attended School events before. This will be a deepening of work already begun. Arrive wens leave late saturday. 340 pounds. More on this exciting event soon.

Tip of the iceberg, but plenty of leads. Look out especially for the poets Jay Leeming, Thomas R. Smith and Timothy Young amongst the above- all visiting teachers at the school. They represent a new opening of poets in the US with a great feel for the mythic that informs their work in subtle not overt strokes. Deardorff's 'The Other Within' is be reissued through Random House this Autumn with new introduction. Helluva read-he makes you work for your rapture thats for sure. I love these books, it makes me happy just to type their names out.
